Create as many QR codes as you like without an account. There are no scan limits and no expiry dates, because your QR code doesn't depend on our servers.
Private by design
Unlike QR code generators that process your data on a server, this one encodes your links, text, and Wi-Fi passwords right in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored.
High-resolution PNG and SVG
Download a sharp PNG up to 2048 px for screens and documents, or a vector SVG that stays crisp at any print size. Both are free, with no watermark.
One QR code generator for links, text, and Wi-Fi
Most people use a QR code generator to share a website. Paste any URL, from a landing page to a Google Form or a social profile, and get a QR code that opens it directly, with no redirect in between.
The same tool turns plain text into a QR code and works as a Wi-Fi QR code generator, so guests can join your network without typing the password. All three are free and need no sign-up.
URL QR code
Link to a website, menu, form, video, or app download page.
Text QR code
Share a note, a serial number, or instructions that work offline.
Wi-Fi QR code
Let guests scan to join your Wi-Fi. Works with iPhone and Android cameras.
What can you do with a QR code?
One quick scan takes people from print or a screen straight to your content. Here's how people use a free QR code.
Share links and websites
Put a QR code in slides, videos, social posts, or emails so people can open your page on their phone.
Wi-Fi for guests
Print a Wi-Fi QR code for your home, café, office, or Airbnb and skip spelling out the password.
Business cards and flyers
Add a QR code to business cards, posters, packaging, and brochures. Download SVG for sharp printing.
Menus, events, and signs
Link to menus, tickets, registration forms, or feedback surveys at events and in stores.

A static QR code generator: codes that never expire
This QR code generator creates static QR codes: your content is written directly into the image, and scans never pass through our servers. Some "free" QR code generators create dynamic codes instead, which send every scan through their own servers.
Static QR code (this tool)
- Opens your link directly, with no redirect through another website
- Works forever, with no scan limits or trial period
- No account, subscription, or renewal to keep it working
Dynamic QR code (many other services)
- Every scan passes through the provider's short link
- Can stop working when a trial or subscription ends
- Usually requires an account to create and manage
A static QR code can't be edited after it's printed. If you might need to change the destination later, point the QR code to a page on your own website and update that page whenever you need to.
Tips before you print your QR code
Scan your QR code with at least two different phones before printing in bulk. Keep it at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide on business cards, and allow about 1 cm of width for every 10 cm of scanning distance on posters. Dark codes on a light background scan best, and SVG keeps the edges sharp at any size.
QR Code Generator FAQ
Is this QR code generator really free, with no sign-up?
Yes. You can create and download unlimited QR codes for free, with no sign-up, no watermark, and no paid plan needed to keep them working.
Do the QR codes expire?
No. This QR code generator creates static QR codes that store your content directly in the image, so there is nothing for us to switch off. As long as the page you link to stays online, the QR code keeps working.
Is there a limit on how many times a QR code can be scanned?
No. A static QR code can be scanned any number of times, because scans never pass through our servers.
Is this QR code generator private?
Yes. Your QR code is created entirely in your browser. The links, text, and Wi-Fi passwords you enter are never uploaded to a server or stored, and you don't need an account.
How do I create a QR code for a link?
Paste your URL into the box above and click Generate QR Code. Below the preview you can see exactly what the QR code encodes. Then download it as PNG or SVG.
How do I make a Wi-Fi QR code?
Choose the Wi-Fi tab, enter your network name and password, pick the security type, and click Generate QR Code. Guests can scan it with their phone camera to join your network.
Should I download PNG or SVG?
PNG works everywhere: chats, documents, websites, and slides. SVG is a vector format that stays perfectly sharp at any size, so it's the best choice for printing and design tools.
What size should I print my QR code?
Print it at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide on small items like business cards. For posters and signs, allow about 1 cm of width for every 10 cm of scanning distance. Always test-scan before printing in bulk.
Can I change the link after printing?
Not with a static QR code, because the link is part of the image. If you expect to change it, point the QR code to a page on your own website and update or redirect that page later.
Can I use this QR code generator on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern mobile browser on iPhone and Android, with no app to install and no sign-up.
